The Austin High Endowment

In the Spring of 1999, the Austin High PTSA created a permanent endowment at the Austin Community Foundation. The Endowment receives and holds contributions as a permanent fund to benefit Austin High. The income from the Endowment is available to be distributed to the PTSA Excellence Fund at any time.

The Endowment will provide the margin of excellence to help ensure the high quality of AHS’s academic and extracurricular programs and its facilities and equipment. The Austin Community Foundation is 31 years old and holds assets valued at over $100 million. It invests the Endowment’s funds and provides administrative assistance for the Endowment to the PTSA. Please visit the Community Foundation’s website at www.austincommunityfoundation.org for more information on the Austin Community Foundation.

Contributions of cash, stock, life insurance, and other property are accepted by the Endowment and are tax deductible to the greatest extent allowed by law. Grants from family foundations may also be made to the Endowment. All contributions to the Endowment are permanent additions to its corpus. None of the corpus of the Endowment may ever be spent.

The Endowment offers the opportunity for current and former Austin High families to contribute to the school’s continued, long term success. It is a wonderful place to make memorial contributions, to honor graduates or teachers, and to commemorate family events. Lifetime gifts and bequests from estates may be made to it.
