1990s – “The decade that began with Nirvana and ended with the Backstreet Boys turned Mr. Maroo into a “beast.” Volleyball and men’s basketball teams prevailed; new leadership helped students overcome a race riot. We listened to the OJ Simpson verdict in gym class and the Real World paved the way for reality shows.
